

Mary C. Wilson, 97 died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012 surrounded by her family at Springview Manor Nursing Home. She was born on December 24, 1914 in Lima to Philip and Matilda Miller and they preceded her in death along with her stepfather, William Hoehn. On July 16, 1938 she married Seth V. Wilson, who died September 6, 1984.
Mrs. Wilson was a lifetime member of St. John Catholic Church in Lima where she was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was inducted into the LCC Hall of Fame in 1993, she retired from the volunteer work she did for 28 years at St. Vincent DePaul clothing store in downtown Lima. Although she received many awards for the volunteer work, she always said the work gave her purpose and a passion for her life. Her family says she always told them, “Love what you do, and love your neighbor.”
Mrs. Wilson is survived by eight children, Regina (Don) Borkosky of Findlay; Phillip (Susan) Wilson and Timothy (Kris) Wilson both of Elida; Kathleen Swaney of Pandora; Miriam (Everett) Birkemeier of Wapakoneta; Joan (Jim) Maitlen and Gregory Wilson both of Lima; and Elizabeth (Kenneth) Pohlman of Delphos. A son, Daniel Wilson is deceased. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Putnam and Helen Miller; a brother Phillip (Irene) Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Dave Ritchie as celebrant. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, Ohio, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
