Robert Alan Medsker

Robert Alan Medsker, 52, of Lima, passed away at 1:14 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at The OSU Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born October 19, 1962 in Lima to Joseph E. & Marie A. (Rhoades) Medsker, and they preceded him in death.

Robert resided with his sister Melinda, brother-in-law Ted, two great nieces Ashley and Amanda, and his dog Patches. Robert regularly attended the day services program at Goodwill Easter Seals, and he belonged to the Marimor Bowling League at Westgate Lanes. Robert was an Eagle Scout. He was a long-time participant of the Equestrian Therapy Program at Fassett Farm, and his favorite horse was Ben. Robert had a knack for picking the perfect gift for others. Robert was a very courageous, loving and compassionate person and he touched the lives of many people. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Joseph (Susan) Medsker of Centerville, Thomas (Sue) Medsker of Elida, Kathy Stedke of Lima, James (Joni) Medsker of Dublin and Melinda (Ted) Edler of Lima. He also leaves his nieces and nephews: Mark Medsker, Tony Medsker, Leah (Mark) Murka, Amy (Brett) Noble, Lori Medsker, Michelle (Shannon) Kies, Teresa (Mike) Benedetto, Shelley Medsker, Jordan Medsker, twelve great nieces and nephews, a great great niece, and many caregivers, especially Sherry. He was preceded in death by his niece Amber.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Steve Blum as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.

Family and friends may call Sunday, March 15 from 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME.
