Stephen Michael Miller

Mr. Stephen Michael Miller, 72, passed away suddenly at 12:40 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Oct. 17, 1940, to John Clair and Marjorie (Dickson) Miler, at the home of his grandparents, Fred & Laurel Miller, who preceded him in death. He married Patricia Lee McDonough who survives.

Also surviving are a sister, Kay Hall of Michigan; a brother, John Miller of New York; a son, Christopher (Shari) Miller of California; and stepchildren: Kathleen (Michael) Van Meter of Ohio and Calvert (Jill) Smith of Virginia; four grandchildren: Kyana, Patrick, Joshua and Paige.

Mr. Miller was a 1958 graduate of Elida High School. He had been involved in hospitality management and also worked for Anheuser Busch and was an insurance inspector. He retired this year from Knippen Dodge Chrysler in Delphos. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and had served four years on the U.S.S. Whiting with the N.O.A.A. He was a member of the F.O.E. Aerie #471, and the American Legion Post #268, both of Delphos.

Mr. Miller will be cremated as he requested. There is an invitation to celebrate his life, on Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 7-9 p.m., at the family farm. Interment will be in Virginia.
