Zachary T Pearson

.Zachary T. Pearson, 93, of Lima passed away 4:56 a.m. Saturday morning November 28, 2015 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on December 19, 1921 in Marion, SC to Zachary Thomas and Thelma Pearson who preceded him in death. He married Harriett Sandifer on May 23, 1947 and she preceded him in death on June 20, 2008.

His survivors include his children, Craig T. Pearson of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Leanne (Dennis) Newland of Lima; his grandchildren, Sarah Newland of Lima, Kelly (Shane) McGue of Lima, Michael (Shelly) Newland of Wapakoneta and Matthew Newland of Lima. He was also survived by his great grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, Ashlyn and Zachary.

Zachary had been employed as a systems analyst at Neon Products in Lima, and Pax Industries in Coldwater. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was awarded by Congressman Jim Jordan, five battle stars for serving in the North African and Italian Campaigns during the WWII. He was an avid golfer. He dearly loved his family.

A funeral procession will leave Siferd-Orians Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 to Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, December 2 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
