Berniece Jeanette Cummings

8/6/38 – 10/12/16

Berniece, 78 of Lincoln CA passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday October 12th 2016. Born in Auburn in 1938, she lived most of her life in Lincoln.

Berniece is predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Jack Cummings, her daughter Diana Deno, granddaughter Amber Royal, and sisters Marjorie Schwartz and Loraine Pozzi. She is survived by daughters Karrie(Grant) Carmichael, and Patty Cumming; grandchildren Kallie(Mike) McKean, Sarah Lenker, Lynsay Carmichael, Jenae(Michael) Davenport, Yvonne Royal; great-grandchildren Jack and Audrey McKean, Layla Lenker, and Lee Royal. She is also survived by siblings James Freymond and Suzanne Ervin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with raising a family that she adored, Berniece worked for 18 years as a beloved bus driver for Western Placer Unified School District. She was very involved with her church and had a heart to serve. Possessing a talent to grow stunning flowers she was truly happy out in her garden. She also had a deep love for history as she extensively collected her family’s genealogy.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, the 20th, 3:00pm at Destiny Christian Church. Berniece was a special woman and will truly be missed, but we find comfort in knowing she is in the arms of the Lord.
