

Darwin Steven Reynolds was born on March 9, 1940 in Burlington, Vermont, and passed away peacefully at home at the age of 83 on October 9, 2023 in Lincoln, California, after an over two year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Darwin was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Helen Reynolds, his brothers Philip and Brian Reynolds, and his sister Sandra Morin. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Larry & Carolyn Reynolds of Jackson, Tennessee, his wife of 57 years Joyce of Lincoln, CA, his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer & Steve Tanis of Riverside, CA, his son and daughter-in-law Steven and Alissa Reynolds of Vacaville, CA, and his grandchildren Caleb Tanis, Kaelyn Reynolds, and Micah Tanis.
Darwin loved working at his church as a deacon and in many other capacities, finding bargains at estate and garage sales, downhill skiing, decorating for Christmas, gardening, and spending time with and cooking for family and friends.
He taught school for 50 years most of which was in Special Education in dedicated classrooms and as a Resource Specialist. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, he received his Bachelor of Arts from California Baptist College, a Master of Religious Education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and completed all the course work for a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Sacramento State University.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on November 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lincoln Funeral Home, 406 H Street, Lincoln, California, and to a celebration of his life on November 4th at 11 a.m. at First Street Community Church, 1545 1st Street, Lincoln, CA.
