Frank graduated from Washington High School in Fremont, California in 1949, where he was a standout football player, boxer, and worked hard in the fields. But high school is where he met his loving high school sweet heart and wife of 64 years, Elaine Borge Correia.
Soon after their marriage, Frank was drafted into the U. S. Army where he was stationed in Alexandria Virginia, and sent to serve his country in the Korean War, including the battle of Pork Chop Hill. Frank received 2 Purple Hearts, 3 honors of combat, and was honorably discharged in 1959 as Lt. Sergeant.
After arriving home from the war, with his wife Elaine, they began raising their family. Frank is survived by his four children: Frank Correia (Joy) of Pleasant Grove, Claudette Michel (Jerry) of Nicolaus, David Correia (Rhonda) of Pleasant Grove and Danny Correia (Natalie) of Meridian. Frank also leaves behind 9 grandchildren.
Frank graduated from Laney College in Oakland, and worked for 22 years as a union plumber, Local 342, until he was 50. After retirement, he moved from Livermore, California to Pleasant Grove, California where he began living the true passion in his life of raising cattle, traveling in his RV, fishing, and playing cards. Frank was a forward thinker and never looked back, but he always remembered his Portuguese heritage and was a member of the Sacramento American-Portuguese Club and loved the A.P.E.D.S. Holy Ghost Festa in Lincoln. Frank was also a member of the Placer County Farm Bureau, PNSSNS Water Shed Board, St. Boniface Catholic Church in Nicolaus and past board member of the Pleasant Grove Elementary School.
