

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Thompson. Stanley, possibly the last remaining Charter Member of Oak Plains, passed away in Roseville, California on April 25, 2016 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.
A native of Oakland, born August 10, 1931, and a graduate of the University of California, Stanley also took an active role in the Masonic Club and Demolay. In 1953 he became a Master Mason at the then Henry Morse Stephens Lodge #541 in Berkeley. After which, Stanley served as a communications specialist officer in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his service, Stanley took on a distinguished professional career with the California State Auto Association.
Stanley is survived by his wife Janee (of Lincoln), sons Mike(of Fremont) and Mark(of Meadowvista), daughter Julie(of Denver), and numerous grandchildren.
Masonic services will be held at Lincoln Funeral Home on May 14, 2016 @ 10am and his final place of rest will be the United States National Veteran’s Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
