He always had the smile and kindness of both his Mom and Dad. Just like them he was always willing to help anyone at anytime.

It has truly made our hearts so heavy knowing that Alan is no longer with us.  He was such a wonderful, giving man, and yes indeed, he LOVED his little Lucy!

We will alway cherish those moments when he was able to visit with us.  He definitely was a very hard and dedicated worker, and I'm sure he was a very good role model for those new to the field.

Alan, you will be missed by so many people!

I first met Al as a young Apprentice and the poor guy got stuck working with me as I possessed close to zero knowledge of our trade. His natural instincts (kindness and patients ) took over and he spent his time to show and teach me skills and craftsmanship I will use for a lifetime in ironwork. He is and always will be one in a million, We all miss you Al!

For those who ever had the chance to meet Alan were so blessed ,, He was a amazing man so much like his dad, He was always there for the ones that he loved,, I’m going to miss or long  talks and dinners at his favorite restaurant Charleston’s  No matter where we went in our lives I knew that he was always there for me as I was there for him, he loved his family so much,, I feel so blessed that he was in my life! I LOVE YOU! 

Alan my heart hurts, We met in our 20’s he was my first love, He brought mom and dad and Nicole into my life and  they became my family too,, We spent many days and evenings on Beaverlake,, Alan & dad used to always barbecue and we would sit on the deck and just talk, I loved it when we would go fishing and then we would take the boat out. Years later we knew we just were meant to be bestfriends, when he told me he was moving to Kentucky to live in a trailer it didn’t surprise me,, he loved adventure he loved the water, and he loved his friends and family,, I remember when he told me he rescued Lucy but really she saved him ,, i’m gonna miss you my best friend, I LOVE YOU! 

Al was a tough man that never hesitated to share his heart. He was liked by many and loved his family beyond measure. He will be missed, Rest In Peace Brother

I (really) met  Al on a wind farm in Rio Vista in 2012. I saw his truck outside the tattoo shop. I walked in just so I could talk to him- outside of work. 
I got a tattoo, phone number,  partner and when our time ended we developed a friendship over the years. We spent days on the delta in the ‘76 eliminator Jet boat. We traveled coast to coast and had many adventures, Stella’s in Omaha, local taco in Kentucky- mount dora in Florida, Mt. Shasta in California. When life got tough we would head out on our paddle boards and spend hours in the clear Florida  waters - finding treasures and dive restaurants along the way.  
Alan was quiet, mythical, and always calculated his next move, yet as quiet as he was he was loud when it came to standing up for what was right.   We had our rough patches but he has given me so many pieces of advice I will hold onto for years to come. 

RIP Alan. Taken so soon. Thinking of your Mum and Nicole. Sleep tight. 

I met Al around 20 years ago. We hit it off as friends right away. Al, liked to travel through the ye=every time he came back around Nebraska he would contact me to see what has going on. When we first met, we were young and having fun all the time. That’s the way I think I’ll remember him. He was working with me on the same job when he passed. We would actually like getting up and coming to work. I’ll remember that as well. He will be missed. RIP my friend,
