Alanson "Lanny" John Welton

Lanny graduated from Northeast High School in 1954. In 1957 he moved to Sidney, NE where he worked with his uncle in his upholstery shop. When he returned to Lincoln, NE, in 1958 he went to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber, where he worked for 36 years before he retired. Lanny had a passion for buying and working on vehicles, his favorites were pickup trucks. He loved camping and vacation trips to Colorado and Arkansas. He also loved the many Poodles he had throughout his lifetime and teasing and kidding around with people.

Lanny is preceded in death by his wife Patricia; parents Ralph and Marie Welton; brother Bob and son-in-law Dave.

He is survived by his son: Guy Welton and his wife, Vicki; daughters: Genine Hovick and her husband, Jack, Georgia Welton, Melody Chrisp, Barbara Sheldon; granddaughters: Heather, Lori Jami, Michelle; Grandsons: Trevor, Ryan; brother-in-law: Gary Walker and his wife, Gail, and many great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM, United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont Street, Lincoln, NE.

Memorials are to be designated to: American Heart Association
