Loving husband, proud Dad and Gramps, brother and uncle, devoted friend to many. Born in Auburn, Nebraska to Kenneth and Iola Brown; longtime resident of Lincoln. Graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School class of 1960. Earned Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (1965) and Master of Business Administration (1975) from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam war he flew F-4 phantoms and did 150 combat missions. He earned the rank of Captain, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. After returning stateside he spent 2 years as an instructor pilot. He had various jobs over the years. He was owner and mechanic at B & T Automotive, spent years welding at National Crane, and retired as a driver from Railcrew Xpress.
Survived by wife of 41 years, Heather (Lapsley) Brown, children Jennifer N. Brown (Doug Lane) of Seattle, Washington, Evan Brown of Lakewood, Colorado, Michelle Bozell of Lincoln, and Amanda Brown (Ryan Fitzpatrick) of Lawrence, Kansas; sister Leslie (Bob) Lewis of Lincoln, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Kenneth G. Brown and Iola (Bohling) Brown of Lincoln.
He will be remembered for his wit, wisdom, love of tinkering, and loving devotion to his family and friends. He loved philosophical discussions, a good cheeseburger, time with his grandkids and pets, working on cars, watching the Chicago Cubs and attending Mojo Filter concerts with his wife Heather.
He dreamed of a world in which all people would live and work together in peace.
