Anthony Tyler Phillips was born on February 26th 1998 in Lincoln NE at St Elizabeth hospital and passed away on January 7th 2024 at age 25 years 10 months and 19 days in Omaha NE peacefully when God deemed his life complete. Anthony was finally free from the pain and suffering his body caused him so long.
Anthony was an amazing young man who fought hard and defied not only his doctors expectations but also to live each day the best he could despite his overwhelming debilitating medical conditions. At 3 only weeks old Anthony contracted Meningitis and was given no real chance to survive but after 2 weeks in the NICU he was released. Despite his doctors providing little to no hope for a healthy productive future, just a life expectancy not exceeding 10 years old, his family stayed strong and never gave up hope. Anthony's strength and God's will for him gave his family and caregivers 25 years of smiles, memories, inspirations and love that will never be forgotten.
Anthony is survived by his Mother Heather Phillips of Lincoln Ne, his father Martin Belcher of Lincoln, 2 Grandfathers, Wayne Phillips of Bradenton FL and Kenneth Belcher of Lincoln, 7 siblings, Mariah Willey, Shamar Willey, Cameron Willey, Jade Belcher, Luther Belcher, Colt Belcher, and Wyatt Belcher all of Lincoln. Aunts, Uncles, A niece and multiple Cousins. He is preceded in death by 2 Grandmother's Tami Kaye Highstreet Best, and Amereyllis Belcher both previously of Lincoln NE, and a cousin Shawn D Vraspir of Beatrice, NE.
A memorial service will be held on February 23rd at 2pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery at 6800 S 14th st in Lincoln NE, and a reception with food and beverages will immediately follow in the lower level of the funeral home. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. The family is asking for donations to plant 25 trees honoring his 25 years of life. Donations can be made To Heather Phillips or Cassie Walter's.
