Barbara Jane Peters, RN, 68, of Lincoln, NE passed away March 6, 2015, after a brief illness. Barbara was born November 12, 1946, in Sioux City, IA to Alvin H. and Norma M. (Arp) Larson. She married Richard A. Peters in Sioux City, Iowa on June 17, 1966. After graduating from Sioux City Central High School in 1964, Barbara graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1967, serving the nursing profession in the Sioux City and Lincoln areas. She served several years as a volunteer at Roper Elementary School. Barbara enjoyed summers with family and friends in Eagle Lake, Minnesota. Barbara treasured her family, neighbors, and the many friendships she made over the years. Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard, sons Rick and Daniel of Lincoln, NE; granddaughters Emma and Chloe Peters of Lincoln, NE; her brother, Dr. Steven R. Larson, MD, Folsom, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin H. and Norma M. (Arp) Larson; her brother, Dr. Rodney A. Larson, MD. No services scheduled.
