Billy C Winter

Billy C. (Bill) Winter of Lincoln passed away on February 6, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born January 14, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska to William and Clara Winter. He was an active member of the Prairie Home United Methodist Church. Employed by Parker Hannefin for 37 years and enjoyed bowling on the company team for a number of years. He enjoyed watching Husker sports, watching sporting events for his family, lifelong farmer, gardening, raising chickens, and the family called him “Mr. Fixit” because he could fix just about anything.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Faye Winter; sons, Wes (Linda) Winter, Todd (Lana) Winter all of Lincoln; daughter, Debra (Paul) Stroh of Kearney; grandchildren, Logan, Jacey, Karlee, Luke & Jamison Winter; Gareth, Devin & Seth Stroh. Preceded in death by parents William & Clara Winter; brother, Harold Winter; sisters, Gladys Otley, Marie Haase & Lucille Nohavec; grandson, Brayden Winter.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 at the First United Methodist Church in Waverly with Pastor Doyle Burbank-Williams officiating.
