Bryce Laverne Sargent, 88, of Attica, KS, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Attica Long Term Care. John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Bryce was born on May 26, 1933, in Adams, NE, the son of Foster Ernest Sargent and Edith Estella (Houston) Sargent. Bryce served in the United States Army during the Korean War, 1952-1954. He married Marlene Edith (Sanders) Sargent December 2, 1956, she preceded him in death on August 6, 2007. He was an Implement mechanic, served on the Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Department, Scout Leader, an active woodworker, and wood carver, he also attended Community Bible Fellowship in Medicine Lodge, KS.
Surviving are four children, Robert (Marsha) Sargent of Papillion, NE, Susan (Rick) Fitzgerald of Sharon, KS, Wesley (Maria) Sargent of Lincoln, NE, and Becky (Haider) Al- Ghazaali of Dearborn, MI; 16 grandchildren, Elizabeth Rossie (Alex), Michelle Boyd (Joseph), Jennifer Wagner (Kent), Heath Sargent (Karla), Brian Fitzgerald, Jacob Sargent (Jennifer), Jamie Boenreif, Katherine Cress (Mark), Sarah Sargent, Emilie Frank (Eric), Kaly McGill (Jacob), Mahdy Al-Ghazaali, Melissa Sattem (Brian), Jeremy Richmond (Andrea), Christopher Routhe, Eric Martens, 34 great-grandchildren; one brother, Darrel Sargent (Darlene) of Cottonwood, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents Foster and Edith Sargent, his wife Marlene Sargent, five siblings, Leona Little, Delbert Sargent, Milton Sargent, Edith Topp, Edna Otto, daughter in law Jeanette Sargent.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Centenary United Methodist Church, 608 Elk Street, Beatrice, NE. 68130. Interment will be at 2:30 Friday, at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512. Military honors conducted by the American Legion of Lincoln. Memorials suggested to Attica Long Term Care, 302 North Botkin St, Attica, KS 67009.
