Cyndi K. Rohrs

Cynthia (Cyndi) Kay Freeman Rohrs was born in Fremont, Nebraska on April 24, 1949 to parents Donald and Dona (Clausen) Freeman. Cyndi passed through Heaven’s Gates on August 11, 2025, at the age of 76. Cyndi was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Cyndi graduated from Fremont High School in 1967 and went on to graduate from Lincoln School of Commerce in 1968. She started dating the love of her life, Rick Alan Rohrs in 1967 and they married at the First Lutheran Church in Fremont in December of 1970. They loved to travel and see the world together, along with spending time with family and friends, especially attending their grandsons’ sporting events. Her love for the Lord and her dedication to the church was shown through music and many volunteering opportunities. She had an exuberance for life.

In June of 1980 they were blessed with their wonderful son, Jared Alan. Jared married Julie (Mundt), the daughter they never had, in 2005 and they gave her and Rick their “pride & joy” Reef Alan in 2008 and Ayrton Douglas in 2012.

Cyndi is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rick; son Jared (Julie); sister Diane (Ken) Vergith; brother Jeff Freeman; sisters-in-law Patty Mott & Teri (Jim) Bliven and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Dona Freeman; step father, Verne Daniel; parents-in-law, Ken & Glennie Rohrs and brothers-in-law, Jim Merriman, Ron Rohrs, and Mick Mott.

Memorials are in the care of the family to be later designated in her honor to the Nebraska Children’s Home or City Impact.

A visitation will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday August 19th, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Christ Place Church, 1111 Old Cheney Rd., Lincoln, NE 68512.
