Dohn J Theobald, age 91, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He is survived by his brother, Richard and sister, Sharon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Cora Theobald, and siblings: Dale, Doris and Shirley. Also by his first wife, Joyce Orr, and second wife, Sandi Van Horn.
Dohn was born on a farm near Ohiowa, Nebraska and later moved to a farm at Geneva. He graduated from Geneva High School. Benefiting from a Regents Scholarship he graduated with a degree in Business Administration at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. To supplement his income during this time he worked part time at the O'shea-Rogers Tractor and Equipment Co. which was the regional distributor for Ford Tractors and equipment.
After graduating, Dohn was employed by the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation, his work home for forty years. There he held several positions including: Technician, Office Manager, Customer Relations Representative, Salesman, and Account Executive. As a salesman he earned 19 Hundred Clubs, the companies highest award.
Dohn feels that his greatest accomplishment has been the establishment of the Dohn J Theobald Scholarship Fund through the Lincoln Community Foundation. This scholarship is for qualifying high school graduates in the State of Nebraska and should benefit students for many years to come.
