With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donna McCullough, who departed this life on July 6 at the age of 65, following a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Born on September 25, 1959, Donna lived a life marked by unwavering faith, deep compassion, and quiet strength. Even as she faced the challenges of ALS, her steadfast trust in God and unshakable belief in His goodness never faltered. Her love for the Lord was the cornerstone of her life, shaping the way she loved, served, and uplifted others.
She will be remembered and cherished as a devoted spouse, loving mother, proud nana, loyal friend, and respected colleague. Someone whose gentle spirit, kind words, and radiant faith left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Donna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert J. McCullough; her children, Robert McCullough II (Sara) of Lincoln, NE; Amy Rau (Matt) of Omaha, NE; Lisa McCullough of Fort Worth, TX; and her five grandchildren: Kate McCullough, Delaney McCullough, Brody McCullough, Easton Rau, and Cooper Rau.
A memorial service will be held on July 12th at 10:30 am, at Lincoln Berean Church, where friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate her life and the enduring faith that carried her home.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to ALS in the Heartland, the compassionate caregivers, and the many family members and friends whose love, prayers, and support were a profound blessing during Donna’s final journey home to God.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS in the Heartland Foundation, in Donna McCullough’s honor, to support ALS research, advocacy, and compassionate care for others facing this illness.
