Doris “Lucy” L. Boese/Gibson/Schneider, loving wife and mother of two sons, passed away at the age of 90 on December 25, 2018 at CountryHouse Residence in Lincoln. She was born October 5, 1928 to Edwin and Mabel Boese. She was a dedicated stay at home mother until her sons were raised, then ventured into the medical profession as a secretary for the Olney Clinic in Lincoln for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bird watching in her backyard and playing cards on weekends with family. She was also an avid cat lover. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pearl (Waterbury); brother, Delbert Boese and husbands, Bill Gibson and George Schneider. She is survived by sons, Jeff (Vickie) Gibson of Colorado Springs and Scott (Brenda) Gibson of Lincoln; grandchildren, Charles, Sarah, Thomas and Brian; great grandchildren, Corbin, Iona, Valerie, Bryndol, Bohden and Breanna and many nieces and nephews. Memorials suggested to the family for later designation. A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 10am Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, family only.
