Edward Joseph Hoffman, age 76, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. Edward was born to Edward and Lola Hoffman on September 4, 1945 in Lincoln, NE. His GED was achieved while in USN, military service 1963-1968. He was a Vietnam Veteran and member of Grace Lutheran Church. He is a past member of American Legion Post #3, life member of VFW Post 3606, and served as chair office for Lincoln Memorial Day Observance Association. Edward worked at Gooch Foods and UNL utilities division for 33 years. He married Nancy Susan Gates on May 1, 1971.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Joseph E. (Erin) Hoffman, and Christopher M. (Becky) Hoffman; grandsons, Kaden and Parker; granddaughters, Haylee and Kenzlie Hoffman and brother, Donald Hoffman all of Lincoln.
Edward is preceded in death by, his parents; grandparents and brother, Jeffrey Hoffman.
A visitation with family for Edward will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, Lincoln. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family or to the Capital Humane Society.
