Elizabeth Jean Hertel

Elizabeth "Liz" Jean Hertel, age 76, of Lincoln, Nebraska went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Liz was born June 4, 1945 to Seth and Evelyn (Tomjack) Lathen. She was a longtime member of the Blessed Sacrament Church and was a volunteer for the Matt Talbot Kitchen since 2000.

She is survived by, son, Lathen (Aquasha) Hertel; brother, Gary (Judene) Hertel; grandchildren, T'Rell (Tasha) and Jalen; great grandchildren, Aleyna, Kameryn, and Koen; A host of nieces, nephew, cousins, aunts and uncles and special friends Debra and Renae.

Liz is preceded in death by, her parents; sister, Shelia Harvey and nephew, Michale Bailey.

A rosary will be held 5:30 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 followed by a funeral mass 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament, 1720 Lake Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68502. Private burial at a later date.
