My family and I have been friends with the Millers for over 50 years. It is with sadness that I hear of her passing, but know for sure that she is now in a special place with God. There are now only a few of us left that remember the "Houseboat on the rocks" incident in Minnesota, and many years of traveling together as families, fishing, and having a whole lot of fun wherever we went. One fourth of July in the late 60's, after playing spoons all afternoon, Gerry and I took command of the fireworks, and I recall that Vic stood by as "Safety Manager" instructing us all along the way. She has always been a special friend to me, and my condolences to Glenn, Kathy and your families.     

We are so sorry to here of Geraldine's passing.  Her and Vic were great neighbors and friends.  Many times when shoveling snow Vic was the only neighbor to sing "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" while shoveling and Geraldine would just stand on the porch and shake her head!
We were sad to see her move out of the neighborhood and are so sorry to hear the news.  I have no doubt that she is truly welcomed in Gods hands.

Thoughts of Auntie have always included words like Fun, Laughter, Silliness and Hugs.   Also there are words like Compassion, Generosity and Love, as she had a big heart for people.   Particularly dear to me is the memory of Gerry as it relates to my Uncle Ted (my mother's brother), who came to the US from Germany in the late 50's and to his passing 31/2 years ago, never lost his thick accent and propensity to mix the German and English languages when he spoke, ending up with something that could best be described as Germ-ish.  He was very difficult to understand.  Gerry visited him in the nursing home several times even though she understood maybe a quarter of what he was saying.  He told me many times how much her visits and their "talks" meant to him.  She loved our families  and had a special friendship with my Mom.  Between Gerry and my Mom, family gatherings always had some kind of shenanigans!  When they were together,  there was always something to laugh about.  I'm attaching one of my favorite photos of the two of them.   In this gathering, random dancing took place, as it often did, because my Mom loved to dance!  They were quite the pair!  Look out, Heaven...you have them both now!   I have so many tender memories that will live in my heart for always.  Safe journey Aunt Granny.  I love you.

What a wonderful woman! Our family was blessed to have known and enjoyed  her warmth, feistiness and her love of life, family and friends. My parents began their years of friendship with both Vic and Gerry in the early sixties. They went to Husker games for over thirty years together, and my Mom and Gerry would get so nervous before the games, that Maalox was their pre-game drink. Gerry and my Mom would decorate their hats yearly, adding new items as space would permit. What fun and laughter they shared.  Gerry once told me after my mom's passing that there were just some stories she wouldn't share, and then she'd get a twinkle in her eyes. When I learned she was roller blading in her sixties, it didn't surprise me at all.  So I offer my deepest condolences to all of her family and know she will now keep heaven hopping. Love you Gerry!
