Harold Leroy Bishop died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 88 on January 23, 2019. Born July 3, 1930, Harold was a veteran of the Korean War. After his service, Harold opened a barber shop and later a beauty salon in the Piedmont Shopping Center. Skilled as a carpenter, he became a building contractor and built many fine homes in Lincoln. After retirement he loved spending hours tinkering around the acreage he built in Denton and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Harold is survived by sons James Elliot-Bishop (Patrick) of Palm Springs, CA. and Doug Bishop; daughters Jan Paulsen, Connie (Todd) Duncan, Susan (Darren) Wright and Sara (Denys) Bishop-Shafer. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Celebration of Life will be at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE, at 3:00 pm, Friday, January 25, 2019. In Lieu flowers, memorials sent to Foundation for LPS for a fund a need for Lincoln High School.
