He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953. His service included a deployment to the Korean War. His service was recognized with several honors.
After leaving the Army, Jack worked at Goodyear for 33 years. He then worked a couple of jobs where he could drive, something he loved to do. Jack also loved camping, fishing and restoring old cars.
Jack is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughters, Jacki Cratsenberg and Nicole (and her husband, Thane) Hedgpeth; his stepsons, Jim and Paul (and his wife, Jennifer) Mara; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and his brother, Edgar.
A visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St. Lincoln, NE, 68512 on Thursday, October 16, from 1-2 PM. Followed by a funeral service at 2 PM. Memorials are designated to St. Jude.
