James Lee Westcott was born April 7th,1940 in Lincoln Ne and died March 5th, 2022. He was the son of Lee and Anna Westcott. Jim lived in Lincoln, near Denton, at the home he built, for most of his life.
A very hard-working man, he joined the family business at a young age and became an expert brick mason. He could always build a straight wall with perfect joints. He was known to examine other block walls which, in his expert opinion, did not measure up. Because of his patriotism and love of his country, He volunteered to build the Veterans Memorial wall in Antelope Park.
We remember Jim's passion for classic and custom built cars. He was a charter member of the Rebel Car club and along with his friends, built and restored countless unique vehicles. His restored El Camino won awards at several local car shows.
A good, caring and diligent man, Jim loved his family. We counted on him to recall many fond memories of the family's past. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Jim is survived by his brother Steven Westcott of Lincoln and several Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris, brother Ralph Wescott and 4 sisters, Phylis Weigant, Joan Hile, Patty Howett and Levonne Salisbury. His parents Lee and Anna Westcott.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE.
