Pops loved his wife and children and would have been happy if his offspring never left home. His hobby was his wife and family and believed this way was the most happiness a person could have.
He loved his country and was proud to have served a lifetime career in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later in the Nebraska Air National Guard.
He was open minded to the ways of the world and understanding of differences between people. This he passed on to his children; that you acknowledge diversity with understanding, intellect, and sense of fairness.
Pride he defined as witnessing the successes of his children and grandchildren (pingos) in their strengths as a person above their varied interests and pursuits in life.
If there was one greater amusing happiness then all this it was what he said more than one time, “what is life if you can’t enjoy eating.” Thanks, pops, for everything you taught us and gave us, there is no better person that equals you, except mom.
