John Sherwood Evasco

John S. Evasco, 71 of Lincoln passed away September 17, 2014. John Sherwood Evasco was born July 16, 1943 to John and Ruth (Willsie) Evasco in Moberly, MO. He was a 30 year employee of LT & T. John was an exceptional photographer, receiving numerous awards for his photography skill throughout his life. He loved the outdoors, especially trout fishing. He loved to garden and landscape, and won several awards for the exceptional care he gave to his yard. He loved animals, especially his dogs Becca and Cheyenne. Above all, he was a loving brother, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all. John is survived by his sons, John David Evasco of Lincoln and Lance (Nadyne) Evasco of Lincoln; grandchildren, Lydia and Renate Evasco of Lincoln; brothers and sisters, David (Kathleen) Evasco of Lincoln; Susan “Sis” Evasco of Cedar Rapids, IA; Curt (Karen) Evasco of Lincoln; Guy (Rebecca) Evasco of Lincoln; Sonya Evasco of Holland, NE; and Dan Evasco of Papillion, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George “Nicky” Evasco, and sister, Rebecca Evasco. Funeral Services will be Monday September 22, 2014 at 12:30 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday with the family greeting friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
