Kathryn K. Lundquist

Born September 12, 1949, in Lincoln, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Dean and Ruth Sherwood. She was raised in Lincoln and attended Lincoln High School.

Kathy married Ernest Wayne Lundquist on October 7, 1967, in Lincoln. They made their home in Lincoln, where she lovingly raised their three daughters. She was also a dedicated employee of Square D for 38 years.

Kathy was a faithful member of American Lutheran Church, where she welcomed others as a greeter and raised her children in the church community.

She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She loved cooking and baking, caring for her loved ones, organizing family gatherings, and selling Avon. She also took great pride in her role as a Girl Scout leader.

Kathy is survived by her daughters: Diane Lundquist (Al) of Lincoln, Jennifer Lundquist (Jerrad) of Lincoln, and Elizabeth Schuler (Tim) of Hastings; and her grandchildren: Paige, Tim, Trevor, Jasmine, and Jade. She is also survived by her siblings: Pam Sherwood (Rick), Julie Morin (Gary), Tim Sherwood, and Theresa Hoffman (Dave).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lundquist; her parents, Dean and Ruth Sherwood; and her sister, Karen McCord.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Carla Johnsen. A family reception will follow at American Lutheran Church, 4200 Vine Street, Lincoln, NE 68503.
