He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Retired from Kriha Fluid Power.
Preceded in death by parents; son, Kenneth Edwin Wimmer Jr.; brother, Lavern Wimmer and sister, Dorothy Ann Morter.
Survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy (Adkisson) Wimmer; sons, Stephen (Kathie) and Michael (Susan) Wimmer; grandchildren, Matthew Wimmer, Lori Wimmer, Peter (Robyn) Wimmer, Jeremy Wimmer, Samuel Wimmer and Molly Wimmer; 3 great grandchildren and sister in-law, Shirley Wimmer. Memorials suggested to the church.
