Lela I. Reinhardt-Newcombe, 100, of Columbus, NE. passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. She was born on February 8, 1914 in Utica, NY. Lela and her sister Melba were placed on the orphan train when she was 4 years old. After several foster parents, she was adopted by a family in Lincoln. She graduated from Lincoln High School and married John Reinhardt Jr. on December 5, 1933. Lela was reunited with her siblings from New York in 1948. After Lela’s husband John passed away, she was married to Paul Newcombe in 1977. Lela and Paul were active members of Christ’s Place Church in Lincoln. After Paul’s passing, Lela moved to Columbus with her son and became an active member of Word of Life Church. Survivors: Son; John Dale (Elda) Reinhardt. Step-Son: Paul Robert Newcombe. Grandsons: Michael (JueYezi), John Daniel (Lorilee), Mark (Patricia) Reinhardt. Step-Grandchildren; Keith and Dean Newcombe. Great-Grandchildren; John Michael, John Derek, Joshua, Katrina Weigle, Audrey, Samuel, Benjamin, David, Jacob, Hannah, Jennika, Joseph, and Jared Reinhardt.
