Margaret R. Stevens age 84 of Crete, Nebraska (formerly of Waverly and Lincoln) died on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. She was born on October 10, 1931 in Dwight, Nebraska to Frank and Agnes (Sypal) Hotovy. She graduated from Assumption High School in Dwight. Margaret married Ted Stevens on October 16, 1951. Margaret is survived by her daughter Laura and Marion Mackeprang of Western; daughter, Lucy and Larry Kahler Sr. of Lincoln; sister Bernadette Benes of Lincoln; brother, Joseph Hotovy of Dwight; grandsons, Paul Mackeprang, Jake Highsmith; Ben Highsmith; TJ Stevens; granddaughters, Sarah Mackeprang; Jeanne Mackeprang; Susan Metzger; Lori Shan; many great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted, son, Thomas, sister, Genevieve. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 9:00 am at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Gate 2 at the cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
