Marjorie Joan McKenney was born September 20, 1950, in Basset, Nebraska to Willard Francis McKenney and Louise Mattie Grunke McKenney. She passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 23 days. She graduated from Keya Paha High School in 1968 and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. There she was employed by Back to the Bible Broadcasting Company and was later employed as a telephone operator at the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company. Marjorie was married to Gregory Allen Loos on June 12, 1971, in Springview, Nebraska at the United Methodist Church. To this union, two children were born, Allen Todd and Kristina Kaye.
Marjorie worked at several jobs over the years. She worked as a secretary/receptionist for the Belmont Health Clinic and as a paraprofessional on the bus for Lincoln Public Schools. She loved and cared for the special children that she assisted.
Marjorie was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at Saint Mary's Church, downtown Lincoln, Nebraska by Father Paul Witt.
Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to go camping, travel to Arizona, shop, and spend time with family and friends. More recently, she and Greg were blessed with a new puppy named Coco who was very dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Louise, her father Francis, stepmother Beulah, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Left to mourn her are her husband of 54 years, Greg; her children, Allen (Carie) Loos, Krissy (Kevin) Albert; her grandchildren TeriAnn, Trevin, Tanner, TessaLyn and Treyson Loos; Kole and Kanon Albert; sister Carol (Dick) Eckles, and brother James (Lori) McKenney. Also mourning her are nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the great care Marjorie received while at Bryan West Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at Blessed Sacrament Church in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 19, 2025, at 10:00 am with Father Augustine Reimers presiding. Followed by interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. Luncheon will be served immediately after internment.
Visitation will be the evening prior on September 18, 2025 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial.
