Mark Brodd, of Lincoln, Nebraska, born August 10, 1967, passed away March 4, 2026, surrounded by love. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Alta and Lawren Brodd, Mark was a proud son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Mark grew up alongside his older brother, Tim, and his younger brother, Matt, sharing a bond that remained strong throughout his life. Family meant everything to him, and some of his most cherished memories were made with those he loved most — including his recent trip to Alaska with his brothers and sister-in-law, a journey he truly treasured.
He was the proud father of Justin and Miranda, and nothing brought him greater joy than being “Grandpa” to his two amazing grandsons, Amar’e and Omar (“Baby O”). His eyes lit up when he talked about them. They were his heart.
Mark had a deep love for rock music and simple pleasures. He was happiest driving down a country road in his truck, windows down, good music playing, just enjoying the moment. He loved to travel, to explore, and to experience life fully. He had countless hobbies, made friends everywhere he went, and truly never met a stranger. It seemed no matter where he was, he knew someone — and if he didn’t, he would by the time he left.
He also loved karaoke and was known for being an incredible singer. One of his most memorable performances was “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” which was always a crowd favorite and brought smiles and laughter to everyone who heard it. Music was a big part of his life, and he loved sharing that joy with the people around him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Alta Brodd; his stepmother, Sherry Brodd; his brothers, Tim (Jodi) Brodd and Matt (Kendra) Brodd; his son, Justin Brodd; his daughter, Miranda Montoya; his grandsons, Luchi, Amar’e and Omar (Baby O) Montoya; and his nieces, Kayla, Macey, Callie, Casey, and Kylie; nephew Corey. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawren Brodd; his grandparents, his aunt, Cleo Hoback; and his uncle, Mert Brodd.
Mark was loved by so many and will be remembered for his big heart, his love of music, his adventurous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the memories shared, the stories told, and the love that will continue through generations.
