

Nita was born to William Jenis Bradley and Minnie Olive (McCandless) Bradley in Kingman, Kansas on August 9, 1932.
Nita spent her early years on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in central South Dakota where her father was a teacher on the Reservation. She graduated high school at the age of 17, and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota with girlfriends including actress, Joan Fontaine. Nita moved back to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she met Orlyn, whom she later married on June 12,1954. They raised three children and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1963 where she pursued her career as a Data Processing Supervisor at Bankers Life (Ameritas) for thirty years. After retirement in 1993, Nita went to work part time at Lincoln East High School; working in the cafeteria for approximately two years.
Nita had a love for family, friends, and animals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as her great grandchildren. Nita loved the outdoors, going to Husker football and volleyball games, and playing golf. She also enjoyed watching old movies. Her favorite color was yellow and her husband, Orlyn sent yellow roses to her for special occasions. Nita and Orlyn's favorite song was "Moon River" and they loved to dance.
Nita is survived by her brother, Terry (Kathy) Bradley of Tillamook, OR, Son, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Bale of Lincoln, NE. Daughters, Julie (Tim) Regan of Kansas City, MO, Debra Jacox of Lincoln, NE. Grandchildren, Brian (Brenda) Bale, Kelly (James) Crane, Patrick (Erica) Regan, Adam (Christine) Bale, Christopher (Erica) Bale, Bradley (Jacki) Jacox, Thomas (Taylor) Regan, Amy Regan, Kaitlin (Jesse) Klug, Joel (Kayla) Jacox, 13 great grandchildren, one expected in November, 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Bradley. Her husband, Orlyn Bale. Brother, William Bradley. Sisters, Gwen Whetham, Olive Beckett, Linda Benson. Grandson, Corey Jacox.
A celebration of life for Nita will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
