Patricia was born in Lyons, Nebraska on January 4th, 1933. She was born to Alice (Bates) Connealy and Patrick Archibald (“Archie”) Connealy. She was the younger sister of Lawrence (“Larry” — now departed); and older sister of Susan (“Susie” — wife of Robert Knight, also recently departed).
Patricia is survived by her three children: William Mark (and his wife Rita Ebke), Randye Kay (and her husband Thomas Brockmeier), and Daniel Warren (and his wife Jolie Hoage); along with four grandchildren (Katie, Matthew, Taryn, and Karis), and TEN great-grandchildren.
Patricia’s husband of 73 years, Warren (“Skip”) Mark Overton, passed from us a bit more than a year ago, on February 1st, 2024, with “Patsy” and his loved ones, by his side.
Patricia’s greatest love was always for her family. Not just for her husband and kids and immediate elders, but for ALL of her cousins, aunts, and uncles — and there were a lot of them! Patricia adored and cherished every one of them.
Patricia also, and always, loved her friends. And there were a lot of them as well! She always did her best to keep in touch with all of them, through the years, in too many ways to list here. She deserves immeasurable credit for that.
Patricia was a truly admirable wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone in her life.
Patricia — our Mother — worked several jobs after the three of us kids were packed off to public schools. But she truly came into her own at Howell Theatre under the initial mentorship of “The Great” Dallas Williams.
Patricia (“Pat” — as she was known at work) was a brilliant, creative woman who became Manager of Howell Theatre, University of Nebraska, and helped to propel Howell and Summer “Rep” into a great success, at home and well beyond the campus.
Patricia Ruth (Connealy) Overton, in sum, if that is possible, was an exemplary contributor to her world, and to all who loved her.
Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Parish (1940 S. 77th Street, Lincoln, NE); Rosary at 10:00 a.m.; Mass at 10:30; Luncheon at 11:30; Burial at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
