

Raymond Lee Tripp Jr. was born in Denver, CO, on December 9, 1947, and died on February 23, 2026, at age 78 in Bellevue, NE. Lee attended Lincoln High School. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and friend to many. Lee was the only child of Raymond Lee Tripp Sr. and Sylvia Rebecca (Shepard).
He was always willing to help everyone. He loved uplifting people and seeing their faces light up with a smile or laugh when telling jokes. With the great desire for fishing and as a licensed arborist, he enjoyed the outdoors and was able to make Lincoln beautiful for sixty years. Lee knew how to work and enjoy the sunsets. He was self-employed, owning Lee’s Tree Service and All Seasons Insulation. Lee was a member of the Arbor Day Foundation. He had many other investment adventures.
With Lee’s dad in the air force, he was able to experience places from Alaska to Texas. Later, he was able to enjoy multiple cruises, family vacations, and fishing adventures. Escaping frequently for peaceful fishing and fun swimming at the Platte River cabin, which was enjoyed by many throughout the years.
Lee was honored to be a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He ministered to the incarcerated. Lee served in the temple and as a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Explorer leader. He faithfully served in multiple other callings.
Survived by his wife, Nancy (Hatfield); son, Raymond, in Utah; and daughter, Penney. Grandchildren from Raymond: Hyrum, Ellie, Bethany, and Marc. Grandchildren from Penney: Kayla Robinson (husband Mat) in Ohio, Jared, Amber Kore (husband Dex) in Tennessee, and Krista. Great-grandchildren from Kayla: Aubrey and Persephone Robinson. Great-grandson from Amber: James Kore.
The Celebration of Life will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, at the gravesite section S, on March 27th at 1 p.m., followed by a repast from 2:30 to 4 p.m. held at the Lincoln Stake Center at 3000 Old Cheney Road, Lincoln, NE, 68516.
