Regina Ruth Thomas was born Thursday April 5th, 1934 to Harry Points and Vivian (Woten) Points at South Sioux City, NE. Regina was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Sterling, NE. Regina was united in marriage to George F. Thomas on March 2nd, 1962. To this union one child was born April 10th, 1964 baby boy, Thomas.
Regina and George loved to travel and took many vacations together. They enjoyed spending time at both coasts and going to Galveston, Texas to visit George's brother. They also spent time going to the mountains in many different states.
Regina was an avid Husker fan and enjoyed watching all Husker games that were televised. In the past few years she and her good friend, Barb would get together and spent many hours watching the Husker's.
Regina was an amazing crafter, and loved to make crafts to share with family and friends. She made many for her home and loved to decorate for each holiday. She was also an avid gardener. Her flower gardens were stunning, and she spent many hours each year updating and making sure they were immaculate.
She is survived by, daughter, Janeen (Russ); grandson, Shawn; sister, Patty Custer; nieces, Ronda and Kathryn; nephews, Rodney, Michael, Randy, William, and Shane; many great nieces and nephews; special friends, Doris, Renee & Mike, Barb, Jan, Jack and several more friends.
Preceded in death by, her son baby boy Thomas (April 10th, 1964); husband, George F. Thomas (Jan. 1995); parents, Harry Points and Vivian Cable; sisters, Colleen (Merlin) Ehmen, Darlene (Robert) Urbanek; brothers, Ronald G. Alexander, Albert Buck, Jimmy Buck, Glen Buck Jr., Harry Points Jr.; nephew, Dennis Ehmen; sister in-law, Lucille Beers; brother in-law, Clifford Thomas and companion, Jim Todd.
A special thanks to Dr. Andrew Pohlmeier, York General Hospital, York Aging Partners, York Tabitha, York General Home Health, Ridgewood Care Center and HoriSun Hospice. Also a very special thank you to Nina a Chaplin at Bryan Hospital for the comforting words and many hours spent with Regina following her recent hip surgery.
Regina was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
