I first met Dick in 1970 when our family moved to Sioux Falls SD with the Burroughs Corp. Our friendship over the past 50 years has remained strong as we moved to other cities. I many times used Dick as a sounding board on thoughts, as I knew I would always get a honest direct opinion from him. Sharon and I send our sympathy to Betty and family.

Dick was an extraordinary individual and a truly self-made man. I first knew him from a business relationship but that grew into a personal friendship that lasted 36 years. He always had time to talk, always had an opinion and was usually right. He had a somewhat gruff exterior but truly cared for people and always looked out for their best interests whether they realized it or not. My heartfelt condolences go out to Betty, Brad, Pam and Paula.
