Richard was born December 16, 1935 to William and Althea (Neal) Starkweather in Lincoln, NE. He passed away December 7, 2018. He served in the Army from 1954-1962. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing at Harlan County. Richard was employed with American Stores for 18 years and after his retirement he worked as a truck driver. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Marjorie Cave; sister, Eleanor Agnew; sister, Elsie Neal and brother, Charles Starkweather. Survived by wife of 59 years, Kay Starkweather; daughter, Lanna (Mike) Schrader of Eagle, NE; son, Danny (Denise) Starkweather of Hoyt, KS; grandchildren, Briana (Sam) Swartz, Jenni Schrader and Molly (Anthony) Perkins; great grandchildren, McKinley Swartz, James Swartz and Laikynn Perkins; sister, Bonnie Berrara of Angleton, TX and numerous other family members and friends. Memorials suggested to the family for later designation. Visitation Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 4-8pm and Funeral Service Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 3pm with all services at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street.
