Robert “Bob” Fauver, 84, passed away November 20, 2016. Bob was born March 9, 1932, in Wymore, NE, to Earl Sr. and Alpha Mae (Hollett). He graduated from Wymore High School and enlisted in the US Navy where he served from 1950-54. He retired from the State of Nebraska as a maintenance supervisor. Throughout his adult life he was self-employed remodeling and painting to support his hobbies of motorcycles, wood working, and toy making. He fondly thought of himself as a “wood butcher”. He is survived by his wife Carole Steffen, son Greg (Barb) of Florida, sister Donna Mae (Gene) Bach of Wahoo, brother Jim (Bev Miller) of Lincoln, grandsons Brad & Bryan of Florida. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Earl Jr., Richard, Joe, Max, and infant Billy. Reception will be Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th, Lincoln, NE. Private family inurnment at Wymore Cemetery. Memorials to American Lung Association and Veterans Medical Services of Western Iowa/Nebraska (checks payable to “NWI Lincoln Facility”) that will be designated for the Homeless Veterans Fund.
