Ruben Peters, 98, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was born in Henderson, Nebraska on May 3, 1919 to Ben & Anna (Steingart) Peters. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as an aircraft mechanic throughout World War II, and then worked for 35 years as a postal carrier for USPS in Lincoln, retiring in 1980. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Eleanor (Chore) Peters; and his sons Steven and Eric Peters of Lincoln; and daughters Julie Peters and Jeannie Brown (husband J.D.) both of Aurora, CO. Grandchildren: Kyle and Jason Peters; and Molly, Judson & Cory Brown. Great grandchildren: Elise & Luca. Preceded in death by parents, and his sisters Ann, Eva &Tena.
