Saundra "Sandy" Jean Kuhn 76 years of age of Martell, NE passed away October 24, 2022 peacefully surrounded by family. Sandy was born September 10, 1946 in Modesto, CA to Lloyd W. Oxford and Dorothy J. Ruhl (Frazier). Sandy was raised in Turlock, CA until she married George Rubio and they were blessed with two daughters in San Jose, CA. Sandy went on to marry Jim Kuhn and they were blessed with a son in Holdrege, NE.
Sandy accepted Jesus early in her life and remained strong in her faith. She was excited to go to heaven to be with her Creator. Sandy was loved and gave love unconditionally which is how she raised her children to be as well. Sandy never met a stranger and always left with more friends. Her passions were kitties, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent hours on her phone looking at pics of all of them. One of Sandy's greatest gifts was the special bond she shared with her children. She especially loved being Grandma to her grandchildren and Gigi to her great-grandchildren.
Sandy worked various jobs and retired as the Canteen Manager at Lincoln Correctional Center. She was an avid pool player for more than 20 years with the "Hu-chi-Ku-chis". So many people in the pool community knew her as Mom. She shot in City, Midwest and International tournaments. She received many trophies for her efforts. She spent her last few years creating more memories for family and friends. Her kind spirit, warmth and love will be missed by all who knew her.
