Sharre graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955. Following graduation she worked a number of years for Lincoln Police Department and spent most of her working career at Alexander and Alexander Insurance Agency where she made lifelong friends. After retirement she thoroughly enjoyed working as event staff for the University of Nebraska. You could see her smiling face from football to swimming to volleyball to soccer.
She was an active member of Christ Lincoln Church where she was a member of a women’s followship group which included bible study and delivering flowers to hospitals and nursing homes.
Her greatest joy was spending time with grandchildren and going to their numerous sports and school activities. She rarely missed events and was adored by many. She loved to cook for family and so many of her special dishes will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Kevin) Patt, Firth; daughter-in-law Lori (Jay) Judds, Lincoln. Sharre had five grandchildren, Dustin (Lindsay) Patt, Lincoln, David (Lynzee) Patt, Lincoln, Jordan Patt, New York, Jared (Aubrey) Plautz, Hickman, Madison Plautz, Denver; great-grand daughter, Dacota Plautz. Sister Coddy (Tom) Houchen, Lincoln; nephews and niece, countless friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Dan Plautz and parents.
Funeral service will be held at Christ Lincoln Church, 4325 Sumner, Lincoln at 11:00 am on November 11. Interment will follow the service at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family for a charitable donation to be made in Sharre’s memory at a later date.
Pallbearers are Kevin Patt, Dustin Patt, David Patt, Jared Plautz and Jay Judds. Honorary pallbearers are Madison Plautz and Jordan Patt.
She will be remembered as an amazing lady, special friend, and bonus grandma to so many.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 4325 Sumner St, Lincoln, Nebraska 68506 with a visitation one hour prior to service. lincolnfh.com
