She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1966. During her role as Human Resources Director at Teledyne Isco, Inc. she obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Doane University in Crete, NE in 1996. She was a dedicated and well-respected employee of Teledyne Isco, Inc. for 36 years.
Sheryl was a devoted mother to two sons, John Evasco and Lance Evasco; two step-daughters, Lori Wright and Shelly Zeilinger (Wright); five grandchildren, Lydia Evasco, Renate Evasco, Scott Zeilinger, Alec Zeilinger, and Emily Snell (Zeilinger); and eight great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Wright, and her parents. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends.
She was an avid gardener and animal-lover, loved to travel the world, enjoyed classic cars with their '55 Chevy and '67 Mustang among her favorites, served in many leadership roles including treasurer of the Miller-Long VFW Post 3606 Auxiliary, past-president of American Legion Auxiliary 355 in Denton, former membership chairperson of League of Women Voters Lincoln/Lancaster County, and past-president of Rebels Auto Club.
A visitation for Sheryl will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. lincolnfh.com
