He was born on September 8, 1940, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Stanley graduated from Lincoln High School and wrestled for the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Stanley served in the United States Army. After a 35+ year career at Goodyear in Lincoln, he retired to South Dakota. During his retirement, he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Stanley welcomed the opportunity to talk to and befriend everyone. Being a true Nebraskan, he was an avid Cornhusker fan. Above all else, he loved being "Papa" to his two grandsons.
Stanley is survived by his son, Lance (Sheri) and two grandsons, Michael and Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Harriett; and his sister, Peggy.
Memorial Services on Monday, March 25 at 2:00 pm with an open house to follow from 2:30 pm to 4:00pm.
