

Thomas Lee Reents, 70, of Lincoln died unexpectedly on November 19, 2015. Graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School in 1963 and the University of Nebraska in 1967. Tom was the oldest of three children born to Lee and Elsie Reents. Tom was united in marriage to Carol Ann Chandler on April 16, 1966. Their marriage was based on mutual devotion and their love is never-ending. They would have been married 50 years next April. Tom was a very caring, funny and quirky guy whom was loved and adored by many people. Tom had a way of making people laugh and was always willing to share his wisdom. Tom loved his family and dogs very much. Tom had a unique spirit that was both boundless and grounded at the same time which allowed him to be successful in everything he did. Tom had life long friends that enjoyed trips to his beloved farm, rounds of golf and even weekly coffee with his high school gang. Tom was an amazing husband, father and he loved being a grandfather to his three grandchildren. Memories of Tom are unlimited and include his sense of humor, passion, loyalty and his famous grilled pork-chops at the farm cooked on his one-of-a-kind engineered grill. Tom was a successful business man and happily retired from his insurance consulting company. Family came first to Tom and he will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his wife Carol; children Scott (Donna) of Louisville, KY, Greg of Denver, CO; and two grandchildren Mary Caroline Reents and Kyle Thomas Reents. Tom was proceeded in death by his parents and his beloved grandson, Forest Scott Reents.
