Venna was born on May 25, 1935 to Edward and Ella Kortum in Bloomfield, NE. She passed away April 9, 2019 at the age of 83. More than anything she loved her children. She was a longtime Safeway employee, avid bingo player and lover of all cats. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Enjoyed fishing, reading, watching her “soaps”, playing cards and sunbathing. Survived by children, Pat Mehuron (Mary Smith) of Lincoln, Deanie Hauschild of Avoca, Mitch Mehuron (Cheri) of Lincoln, Jane Watts (Tim) of Lincoln and Robert Mehuron of Lincoln; brother, Judge Ret. Alfred Kortum of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Jason Hauschild (Michelle) of Syracuse, Ross Hauschild (Kelly) of Syracuse, Holly Mosel (Adam) of Unadilla, Mikayla Mehuron of Lincoln, Joshua Mehuron (Robyn) of Lincoln and Hunter Watts of Lincoln; 6 great grandchildren; son in-law, Tony Larson of Lincoln and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Gerald L. Mehuron; daughter, Mary K. Larson; brother, Peter Kortum (Clarice); sister, Lois McAdams (Dale); son in-law, Randy Hauschild; daughters in-law, Mary (Peterson) Mehuron, Nancy (Bals) Mehuron and Susan Knott and brother in-law, Steve Mehuron (Elaine).
