Viola was born August 6th, 1930, in Glenville, NE to Henry & Alvena (Mischke) Dieken.
She was married to Donald Alderman on May 23, 1954. Viola worked as a meat wrapper for Jack & Jill & Hinky Dinky until her retirement. She then worked part time at Goodwill & Don’s Shoe Repair with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family & grandchildren.
Viola was preceded in death by her, parents; husband Donald Alderman; four brothers, & three sisters.
Viola is survived by her children, Connie (Jim) Yarina of Tucson, AZ, Karen (Bill) Gadberry of Seward, NE and Rhonda (Randy) Baumfalk of Hickman, NE; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm; with a funeral service taking place on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 am; both services held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. A luncheon following the service will be held at Gentle Shepherd Baptist Church, 1601 W Burnham St, Lincoln, NE. Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation.
