Vivian L Maxwell

Vivian Maxwell, 94 of Ashland, NE passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE. She was born in Geneva, Ne to Allan and Carolyn Kinkade on October 15, 1921. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1939, married John Earl Maxwell, Jr. in December 23, 1945. Then followed his career to the Camp Ashland for National Guard in 1959, where they raised their 3 daughters. They followed Ashland Greenwood sports, lifetime Husker fans and ticket holders, loved horses/ponies, and family. For 53 years she was an observer for the National Weather Service carrying many national and state recognitions. Another great memory would be the 34 years of service at the Ashland-Greenwood High School as a dedicated employee. Survived by daughters Marsha Maxwell, Lynn Barnett, and Barb Cockerill (Steve Cockerill); Grand children Shawn Barnett(Jolene Barnett), Heather Burnham (Barry Burnham), and Kyle Eliker; Great grand children Unique Eliker, Serenity Eliker, Brye Burnham, Trey Barnett and Bentley Barnett. Proceeded in death by her parents, husband John, brother Dave Kinkade, and great grand-daughter Brooke Burnham. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln, NE. Visitation will be held one hour before service. Private burial will be held after the service. Memorials directed to Louisville Care Center or immediate family.
