Barbara Anna Bobenchik

Barbara A. Bobenchik (nee – Brautigam) of Linden, NJ, 78 years old passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her loving husband of 23 years Walter Bobenchik and by her mother and father Anna and Ernest Brautigam.

She was a licensed Beautician and Cosmetologist before a career change and employment with the Union County Probation Finance Department for 20 years.

In the late 70’s she was a member of the Amateur Women’s Bowling Assoc. with a lifetime average of .211. After her marriage to Walter, she became a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge #289 in Elizabeth, and once held the title to President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Roselle Golf Club & Pool and in the summer, months could be found at poolside with family and close friends. She loved to travel, especially to gambling states. Later in life enjoyed attending live Professional Wrestling events with her companion “Mr. Bill.”

Barbara is survived by sons Russell E. Keller. Jr. and Christopher G. Keller, wife Tina, her grandchildren, Christopher and wife Stephanie, Nikolas, Samantha, Marcello, and Stephanie. She is survived by a Sister Beverly Weigand (husband James). She is also survived by her companion of 25 years William Marx along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 5-9 pm and Friday, January 29, 2021 at 9 am at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, Linden, NJ. A funeral mass to follow at 10:30 am at St. Theresa’s Church in Kenilworth, NJ. Face coverings are required. Interment at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
